Aidan Lynch (born August 29, 1977) is a former Irish football player.
He began his career in the League of Ireland in 1995 when he made four appearances for college side, UCD, in the Premier Division. He played seven seasons with the students before moving on to Drogheda United in 2002, playing 79 games for the Louth side.
Following the Boynesiders’ decision to go full-time and Aidan’s unwillingness to give up his lucrative teaching career, the Dubliner returned to UCD at the beginning of 2005. However, he only made nine appearances for the students before being sent on-loan to first division side, Dublin City in July [1].
He joined Monaghan United in early 2009 after Dundalk where promoted to the Airtricity Premier Division.
Aidan's brother Damian Lynch is a professional footballer who plays for St Patricks Athletic in the Airtricity League Premier Division.
He teaches Economics and Mathematics.[1]
He played in the 1997 FIFA Under-20 World Cup. alongside players such as Damien Duff but unfortunately, in the 3rd place play-off, injured his knee.
